Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Ltd (HMSI), a fully owned subsidiary of Honda Motor Corporation, a Japanese automotive company counted amongst leading automobile manufacturer across the globe has launched it’s new product powered with 150CC engine powered bike named as,”Honda CB Trigger” in the Indian market.
With the launch of Honda CB Trigger, company has now geared up for tough calls to budget friendly and efficient bike in 150cc segment. Honda CB Trigger will be made available in three main variants- first one and the base variant is the CB Trigger Standard dubbed with front disc brake, a slightly upper level variant,” CB Trigger Deluxe” features front and rear disc brake, and the top level variant packed up with the most highlighted feature is the CB Trigger CBS which will be features front and rear disc brake with Combi Brake System. Honda has used the tagline ‘Untame Yourself’. Under the hood, Honda CB Trigger is powered with 150 CC, 4 stroke air cooled with spark ignition which produces decent power output of 13.81 BHP at 8500 RPM and 12.5 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM. One of the company spokesperson said,” we claimed it will have the best acceleration in the 150 CC-180 CC segment. Dealing with it’s dimensions, Honda CB Trigger weighs 137 kgs, it has been packed up with tubeless tyres with front tyre rated at (80/100/17) while the rear tyre are (110/80/17) in measurements. Honda CB Trigger holds a nice ground clearance of 175 mm. Enumerating it’s fuel efficiency graphs, it dubbed with a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres, company claims on it’s mileage specifications and promise that it will chunk out 60 KM/Litre.
Speaking on the ocassion, Keta Moramatsu, President and CEO, HMSI, said, “The new CB Trigger is Honda’s fourth product launch starting January 2013. Honda is further strengthened its portfolio in 150cc segment with the CB Trigger which is targeted at the youth.”
Shifting the spotlight towards the bikes exterior, The Honda CB Trigger boasts of an upright sitting position, fully digital instrument cluster, wide seat, black alloy wheels, kick start, full gear lever, full chain case, diamond frame, monoshock rear suspension, LED tail light, viscous air filter and maintenance free 12 V/6 Ah of battery. The Honda CB Trigger is available in three colours namely Pearl Siena Red, Meteor Green Metallic and Black.
However, Honda CB Trigger will be rolled out for sale in the month of may 2013 and bookings will open in the next months when the bike will be dispatched to the authorised dealers. There was no such information regrading it’s pricing, it is unknown yet, it can be expected at a market price of RS 80,000 on road.
