Japanese based automotive company has officially announced to launched the the facelifted version of it’s one of the most popular selling hatchback in mid-price segment named, “Nissan Micra”. However, there was no information regarding the official date of the launch but company unveiled that it will be rolled out for sale in the International market somewhere around May 2013.
With this new facelifted version of Nissan Micra, this Japanese automotive company is aiming to give a tough fight against all the other leading vehicles in the same segment and market it’s virtue as a reliable manufacturer. Shifting the shaft towards it’s specifications, Nissan Micra is offered with the same powertrain options as it was available which includes the same three cylinder 1.2 litre petrol engine that develops 76PS of power and 104Nm of torque. The other engine is a four cylinder 1.5 litre diesel unit that develops 64PS of power and 160Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
Eying on towards it’s facelifts measures, this new Nissan Micra will come with a new front bumper, modified rear spoiler, headlamps and fog lamps, black coloured central console, 15 inch alloy wheels and new LED tail lights. In addition to the above, an automatic air conditioner interface, along with new graphics. There are also many other refinements, such as trip computer, break notice and back sensor for Alert & Warning on the Multi Information Display (MID) have also been installed in this vehicle.
As of now the Nissan Micra is on sale with three petrol and two diesel variants on offer in India with prices ranging between Rs 4.30 lakh for the base petrol and Rs 6.53 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the top of the line diesel variant. There is no such new regarding it’s price uplifts. However, it has been reported that Nissan is also working on a Duster-based compact SUV but due to strategic alliance between Renualt and Nissan this model will share the same platform as of Renault Duster.
