From the Sources, we have heard that the all new petrol version of Tata Nano will be equipped with  800cc engine, while the diesel will have a 3 cylinder engine, whereas the information regarding it's Capacity is yet to be unveiled. As per the expectations, it may be possible that the diesel option can be debuted at the same clock. Some of the officials who were closely associated with the project said," an all-new Nano could hit the roads in another 12 months with a price tag of around Rs 2.5 lakh for the base petrol version. The new variant will race against the likes of Hyundai Eon and the Maruti Alto".

It is expected,  that this new model of Tata Nano in Diesel variant  will be incorporated with some new improved interiors. As per speculations, the car will have better bolstered seats to provide optimum comforts to its passengers. Tata Nano Diesel will be provided with sufficient space for the passengers of both the rows, resulting in a peaceful journey. Four passengers can comfortably travel in the car. A boot space of 80 litres enhances the comfort of this small car.

Breezing towards it's Dimensions, it is expected that the Tata Nano Diesel will be almost identical to the current petrol version of Nano.  Apart from these advancements,  TATA Nano may be spotted with  special provision for the security of its passengers, and thus the car holds some of the advanced safety features. The company has offered seat belts in front as well as rear portion, remote central locking system, fog lamps in front as well as rear end and door ajar warning system.

Last week, Tata Group Chairman said that Tata Nano, is being 'refreshed' to realize its full potential. "We were not prepared to market the car as we should have. I think that has a lot to do with the fact that momentum got lost". He listed out the reasons due to which Nano, nick-named 'The people's car', could not realize its full potential as the momentum got lost in initial years due to issues like plant transfer and insufficient advertising campaign and dealership network.

Asked whether these issues are being addressed, Tata said, "It is being addressed now and I think we will succeed. It is a three-four year old product (and) we have to do something to refresh the product, which we are also doing.
