Title: Hyundai Accent 2002 Model problem in transmission?

Hi,
    My car is creating difficulties in it's transmission while  shifting, overdrive and reverse. What should i do, i went to a mechanic he told me that it's engine got nothing to deliver now. You must concern it before buying it from anyone else. I buyed it around 1,50,000 and no one is interested in buying it. Please help!!
