Well, may be you are right, for start ups, we should do it here. May be a new section here where we can post DIY guides :)
I will be inviting many RE enthusiasts very soon here :)

Now back to the topic:
Actually that was really tricky stuff, after mechanic did it, I came home and myself fixed things all from start and finally got it working right. Sad part is that it was really an "adjustment" so I can't dare to take out all stuff. But still I will what I can do :)

Well, may be you are talking about thump and that is what gives you the rush of adrenaline , I think 500cc would be better as I think I feel running out of power after reaching 80kmph in current bullet.

Hmm..
You seems to be quite informative about RE already :)
What exactly AVL is ?

Well, you can go for higher intensity bulbs  like halogen lamp. If you have new activa then it already comes with halogen lamp housing. You can also go for HID , there are many HID available from branded to chinese , remember , don't go for HID with more than 6000 K illumination as that is illegal in India.

This deal can be good if one can close it under Rs. 50K .

Bikers Lounge / HID lamp Assembly Royal Enfield thunderbird with Relays
« on: October 09, 2012, 06:55:57 AM »
Hi,

I have recently installed HID kit in my RE thunderbird bike, the HID is working fine and as expected, however recently someone told me that I should have relay in my HID otherwise it will drain battery quickly. So far I am not finding any issue, its been few days and had a ride of an hour or so in night too . My battery is new from Aamron so may be I won't face any issue. But I am not sure, so to be on safe side, do I need relay in the circuit of HID ?
The HID has two boxes, I thought one is with relay, also my HID is AC as per written on its box. I must admit that I went for HID without any prior investigation so I am not sure if I the best stuff or proper stuff.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Here I am sharing pictures of my toy, my bike Maroon / dark red Royal Enfield Thunderbird. I will try to add more pictures, currently attaching following.

You can see I have Studds Downtown open face modular helmet, a perfect companion for this bike. I have not done any modification in bike other than removal of backrest, everything else is intact as original.

More pics will come soon..

Basically you are looking for something exceptional and should look awesome.. Do you have any preference like what kind of helmet you are looking for , should be full face or open face or flip open ?

In my suggestion you can try Downtown Full face Decor from Studds.

Hello,
I am planning to add left and right side box on my royal enfield thunderbird bike however, in market I was only able to find right side box. I need it for both left and right side so that I don't have to use reverse on left side.

I searched whole market and even checked studds website, I was not able to spot the studds cruiser box for left side also. So it means we can't procure left side studds cruiser box in India ?

I know saddle box are good but I am looking for plastic box as they have advantage of being waterproof as well as safer because you can lock them.

Buy 500cc if you are looking for more power and torque, it is also more suitable for long cruising. You can actually feel the power if you drive 500cc bike, there is also some sentimental advantage when you are riding and 500cc bike over a 350cc. And yes, the more power in 500cc is worth if you have money to spend.
