Royal Enfield Cafe style bike may get launched in India
« on: November 28, 2012, 08:25:52 AM »
Royal Enfield India, one of the stylish looking old-fashioned motorcycles manufacturer  has planned to launch it's new prodigious motorcycle,"Cafe Racer" in the Indian market probably in the next fiscal year 2013.

Earlier, Royal Enfield's  premium motorcycle,"Cafer Racer" was showcased in India at an event," INDIAN AUTO EXPO"  held in New Delhi, and now this iconic motorcycle from the  Eicher Group will be showcased at the upcoming  Long Beach Motorcycle Show 2012 which seems to took place from  7th to 9th December 2012.

As per the sources,  there was a recent forum chat on Royal Enfield Motorcycle website, in which one of the members claims that he had have seen the motorcycle in cells. As per his post, he claims that the images of Cafe,  it seems that production version is nearly ready.  However,  he also stated in his chat that the production model however seems to have done away with the Ohlins suspension at the rear and adjustable rear seats. That was expected going by the fact that the company has to keep the price value low to make it appealing to the customers. The prototypes version that was showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo featured race-spec Ohlins springs at the rear. The front suspension seems to have been kept intact.

It is rumored, Royal Enfield Cafe will feature 535cc engine,  that  could be a Unit Construction Engine (UCE) developed by Royal Enfield.  The last motorcycle to be powered by a 535cc engine in the Royal Enfield product line-up was the Lightning 535 whose 535cc engine churned out 25 BHP of peak power and 38 NM of torque. The 535cc unit might be a perfect engine being employed by the company however, with some extra tuning to bump up the power and torque figures to make it properly appealing like a Cafe Racer.

However, these are just expected features. Let's see what will Royal Enfield offer in it's new Cafe at Long Beach Motorcycle Show.
