Fiat to bring JEEP brand in India and a compact SUV

Fiat, one of the biggest giant in automobile industry  is now going to launch Jeep Brand in April-2013. The possession of the Jeep Brand had clear of introducing its new off road vehicles in India. It is also know as the Willys Jeep which is the oldest SUV bran in the world. Now Fiat is ready to launch new conquer in the Indian market.

Well the officials from the Fiat-Chrysler camp have conferred and as we see it there’s more to Fiat’s long-term goals for the Indian market than we could have ever anticipated. Not only have they taken the bonus of introducing the iconic Jeep Wrangler and the fourth-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee on our roads by the end of 2013, but also have some ammunition of their own which will see reload over the next few years.

“Our vision for India will revolve around a three-pronged strategy,” said Mike Manley, Chief Operating Officer for Asia and President and CEO – Jeep Brand. “First, introduction of new vehicles that will soon include the legendary Jeep brand. Second, the expansion of our independent dealer network and, finally, strong marketing initiatives that will continue to improve our awareness and brand perception in the market.”

The upcoming compact SUV from stables of Italian auto giant, is anticipated to come assimilated with the acclaimed 1.5 litre Fiat MultiJet diesel powertrain. The drivetrain featured under-the-hood is expected to be either a 6 speed dual clutch automatic transmission or a 6 speed manual gearbox. The 1.5 litre MultiJet power-mill will churn out best-in-class power and torque performance, a thing most common with Fiat models. Well, not much information has been disclosed yet.
