Renault Corporation, one of the largest mammoth in automobile industry in world has launched it’s new invasion in Sedan segment to continue it’s legacy by introducing new “Renault Scala”. Renault owns some of the leading group in automobiles across the globe including Automobile giant Dacia and the Korean Renault Samsung Motors.

Renault Scala Automatic (CVT) will be powered up with 1498cc, Power Steering 4 Cylinder Petrol engine which will produce tremendous power output of 97 Bhp @ 6000 rpm and a maximum torque around 134 Nm @ 4000 rpm. In terms of Dimensions, Renault Scala measures 4425 mm in length which quite average in sedan segment and it will have width around 1695 mm, approx 1505 mm in height in accordance with the ground measures. Renault Scala is equipped with a Boot Space nearly about 490 litres. Dealing towards Safety dimensions, this machine sports with Front Disc, Rear Drum disc brakes with 2 Airbags which will ensure the safety for all the passengers, 2 Fog Lamp to make it more comfortable for driver to drive safely in winter conditions, an anti breaking system also reside under it’s hood. Renault Scala is dubbed with 161.00 mm of ground clearance and it weighs around 1040 kgs.

Speaking on the occasion, Marc NASSIF – MD, Renault India Pvt. Ltd. said, “With more and more cars on the road as well as frequent stop-and-go traffic, India has been seeing an increase in demand for automatic sedans in recent years. However, despite the growing interest for these cars, petrol automatic vehicles are still limited to a 6% share in the premium sedan segment because they deliver lower mileage and higher cost of ownership”.

Renault has already sold 3,000 units of the Scala since its launch in September 2012 and the Scala CVT is expected to further boost sales. But it’s got some tough competition to deal with like the Honda City, Maruti Suzuki SX4, Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Vento. Prices of the Scala CVT have not yet been revealed but expect it to be in the Rs 8.25 lakh – Rs 9.10 lakh range.
