KTM Motor Corporation, an Austrian motorcycle, bicycle and moped manufacturer has planned to launch it’s new series of it’s prodigious sport’s segment under 150CC-180CC in the Indian market. However, with the successful launch of it’s first bike in India,”KTM Duke 200″, KTM is trying to bolsyter its velocity of new launches and powering up with quick network extension for its reach and dealership in the country.
KTM holds partnership with India’s one of the biggest mammoth in automobile industry,”Bajaj Auto”. Bajaj Auto holds 47 percent stake in the Austrian two-wheeleer manufacturer. Bajaj Auto play’s a vital role for KTM network extension and dealership expansion in the country, it also produces KTM’s bike for the domestic market as well as for export to European countries. As per the reports, KTM is planning to launch lower engine capacity and it can be expected with lower specifications as well. Some of the Company officials stated,” that since we are trying to enhance our business in Indian market, and to make a hike in empowering our network extensions our company has decided to come with the launch of the models that will be less powered”. The company aims to increase its sales volume and for this to happen, it would require a product with a competitive price tag positioned in the big-volume mass market motorcycle segment. A bike between 150-180cc would exactly meet all these requirements and the companys ambitions of boosting its sales as well.
It will be a tough compelling situation for KTM’s to expand and increase the sales figure in the country. However, Austrian company has to offer something extra, since there are many tough competitor are already stable in this segment. The company has to plan strategically in order to lure the trusted buyers of Hero MotoCorp and other two wheel makers.
