Maruti Suzuki, one of the biggest giant in Indian automobile industry is going to launch a new facelifted version of it’s most prodigious car in it’s prestigious segment of Sedan “Maruti Suzuki SX4” in the upcoming fiscal year 2013 first quarter.
New 2013 Maruti Suzuki SX4 is expected to be launch with three engine options which are the petrol, CNG and turbo diesel. Speculations from the power output, the 1.3 liter Fiat multijet turbo diesel engine will produces a power of 90 PS and a torque of 200 Nm, whereas the petrol and CNG options include a 1.6 liter engine which will churns out a power of 105 PS and a torque of 145 Nm. The Body Dimensions – Length, Width, Height and Headroom Space will be the same as per the assumption. Some of the expected alterations over to it’s exteriors may include a new front grille with heavy chrome finish, a new sporty front bumper to give a fresh feel to SX4, Stylish Angular Headlights in Front with Slight Tweak in Rear Headlights. Meditating towards it’s Interiors it might introduce Features like – Foldable ORVM, Cooled Glove Box, Parking Censors in Zxi Variant, the color theme of Interiors can be tweaked with Odometer looks and design.
In the Indian auto industry, SX4 competes with the likes of VW Vento, Ford Classic and to lure the Indian car buyers, the facelifted car has a deluge of chrome at the front.The top end variants have the ABS, EBD and twin airbags as standard. The car has high ground clearance and is supported by Maruti’s wide after sales network.
New Sx4 Facelift can have some curves to the body, wheelbase can slightly be increased to have better rear passenger seat comfort built to appeal more to mid segment buyers. Not much information about the price and availability is disclosed yet.
Maruti Suzuki, is a subsidiary (54.2%) owned by Japanese biggest mammoth in automobile industry – Suzuki Motor Corporation is clearly looking to move along with its competitors where earlier this year, we have seen a series of launches which were added with some facelifts and also with some newer versions from the biggest auto maker’s across the globe. One of the major highlights among them were Hyundai Fluidic Verna, Vento with more features and cosmetic change along with Honda City(Facelift).
Maruti Suzuki has a market share of 37% in the Indian passenger car market as of November 2012 and is constantly facing tough competition from other automobile giants like Honda and Hyundai.
