Porsche India, a fully-owned subsidiary of German luxury car manufacturer and Service Provider “Porsche” showcased it's new product as,"Porsche Cayman" at LA Motor Show. Porsche’s bolstered its velocity of new launches and powering up with quick network extension for its reach and dealership in the country.

Porsche Cayman 2014 will be a new sports car will be made available in two variants: Cayman and Cayman S  incumbered with astonishing power ranges. Porsche Cayman 2014 will be powered up with  2.7-liter flat six engine  that claims to deliver a tremendous output of 275hp. Company officials claims that this new visionary sports car will speeds up from 0-62mph in just 5.4 seconds. The top-most speed of the Porsche Cayman 2014 will be 165mph.  Whereas the Cayman S is equipped with 3.4L engine with an output of 325 hp. Both models come with six-speed manual transmission as standard and PDK 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission as optional. The Cayman S sprints from 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds, en route to its top speed of 176 mph. NEDC Fuel economy ratings for Cayman and S variants are expected to be between 7.7 L/100 and 8.0 L/100 km with PDK respectively.

Dealing with it's Designing, it will be two seated that retains the highly recognizable lines that Porsche cars bring with them. Subtle changes on the outside like wider air intakes, headlamps with daytime running lights and LED tail lamps differentiate the 2014 Cayman from the previous version of this sportscar. The 2014 Cayman gets a brand new chassis that also increases the wheelbase of the car quite significantly. The new wheelbase is 60 mm longer and the 2014 Cayman comes with a wider track and wider tyres to complement the increase in wheelbase, with all these offering  the 2014 Porsche Cayman claim to deliver  better performance and better fuel economy at a lighter kerb weight. The car also gets new features like the Adaptive Cruise Control and a Keyless Entry system.

The new Cayman receives slightly different proportions to provide for a larger cabin. Length is up by 1.4 inches while height drops by 0.4 inch compared with its predecessor, at 172.4 inches and 51.0 inches respectively. Width increases but only incrementally at 70.9 inches.

Porsche Cayman will be made available for sell in the upcoming fiscal year 2013 with a price tag starting from  €51,385 for the Cayman and €64,118 for the Cayman S including 19% VAT. It will reach US shores in spring next year with starting price of $52,600 and $63,800 for both versions respectively.
