From the Sources, we came to know about the new generation of the Volkswagen Scirocco which will be spotted with a front-wheel drive model but all-wheel drive might be offered as an option. The future Scirocco will ride on the MQB platform, the same one underpinning the new Golf 7, the new Audi A3 or the new Seat Leon, amongst others. The completely redesigned Scirocco will hit the market in 2015. Additional details on it remain unknown for the moment
“It must be completely different. Completely. We don’t want to repeat the body style of the Scirocco, we want to change that. At the moment, it’s only a studio [project]. It’s not defined at the moment. We are still working…but we are looking 360 degrees”, as the VW Group head of design, Walter de Silva, said.
