BMW, manufacturer of premium automobiles worldwide unveiled a new coupe in Indian luxury car segment looking to strengthen their position in the market. Today, BMW has launched their new product from it’s new 6 series the all new,”BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe” as a companion of four-door coupe club in the domestic market.
BMW 6 series Gran Coupe is available in three variants: BMW’s N55HP 640i the base variant is powered with a twin scroll turbo six-cylinder diesel engine with direct injection and variable valve timing, which produces tremendous output of 315 HP between 5,800 and 6,000 rpm and 330 lb-ft with a torque from 1, 300 to 4, 500 rpm. The upper model of the BMW Gran Coupe 650i comes with slighter change in the variable valve timing, the 650i is powered with N63 4.4-liter V8 engine which produces 445 HP between 5,500 and 6,000 rpm and 480 lb-ft. of torque between 2,000 and 4,500 rpm – a 30 lb-ft. The top variant is all-wheel-drive 650i xDrive which is expected to be available but yet no confirmation received. The BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe is a perfect combination of elegance, luxury and dynamic styling. Dealing with it’s interiors, it offers a cockpit specifically oriented for driver, the area inside is now more spacious to complement the front passenger as well as for rear elegantly curved surfaces. BMW offers incredible spatial variability.
BMW offers a huge trunk incorporated in it’s 6 Series Gran Coupe that offers a volume of 460 liters, which can be expandable upto 1,265 liters through-loading system and since the rear setbacks can be folded-up. Dealing with safety measure, as always all the BMW’s are incorporated with dual front, front side and full-length side curtain airbags with traction control systems and electronic brake force distribution. In terms of it’s exteriors, BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe reflects aesthetics harmonic proportions, precision lines and the smooth contoured surfaces are some of the descent reflects of the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe.
BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe will be made available with eight body shape options in which three leather options and three interior trim options. As per the company officials, BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe will hit 62 mph in just 5.4 seconds before it tops out at a governed 155 mph. The fuel efficiency is speculated around 20 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. BMW 640i diesel variant, priced at Rs 86.40 lakh in the Indian market.
