New Honda Amaze launch on 11th April in India – Compat Sedan

Japanese automotive giant, ” Honda” has finally uncovered the suspense behind the launch of it’s much awaited and first car in diesel segment by introducing Honda, “Amaze” Diesel S in the Indian market. It will be launched by HCIL, a fully owned subsidiary Honda in India.

We have already seen other manufacturer like Maruti Suzuki by launching stretched version of their highly successful hatch Swift as Swift Dzire, taking similar path, Honda has also launched Amaze, the sedan version for their compact hatchback BRIO. Lets talk about the new Honda Amaze features and highlights, shifting the way towards it’s specifications, in terms of power train Honda Amaze is powered by a 1.5 litre of diesel engine that churn out a tremendous 88PS of peak power coupled with five-speed manual transmission, the same power transmission is copulated for it’s 1.2 litre i- VTEC of petrol engine that would produce decent peak power along with average torque at low rpm. Dealing with it’s performance and speed specifications, Honda Amaze 1.2 litre petrol engine will be able to touch the 100kmph speed mark in few seconds with a top speed of around 170-180kmph. On the other hand, the diesel variant of Honda Amaze would have an average pickup that is going from 0-100 kmph.

In terms of Safety measures, Honda Amaze got equipped with a strong brake system assimilated of ventilated disc brakes on the front and the drum brakes on the rear. The car also come with anti-lock braking system, electronic brake force distribution system and brake assist. To protect the passengers, the car would feature dual SRS airbags for the driver and front co-passenger, central locking system, seat belts with the pre-tensioners for all the passengers, child safety locks and the list is quite long. Opening the infotainment unit, a 2-Din audio system has been assembled which will have USB, Aux-in and iPod interface. The four speakers accompanied by the audios system make sure that the car drive becomes entertaining for all the occupants.

Briefing it’s fuel efficiency, Honda Amaze will chunk out 12 to 13 kmpl of mileage on the city roads in petrol gauge and while on the highways it has been claimed by the company that it could catch up the mileage figures up to 16 to 17kmpl. Enumerating it’s diesel variant, Honda Amaze Diesel would promise an impressive fuel economy of 15 to 16kmpl on the city roads and 19 to 20 kmpl of mileage on the smooth highways.

Specifying it’s price tag, it could ranges from Rs. 6 and Rs. 7 lacs for petrol Amaze and around Rs. 7 lacs to Rs. 8.5 lacs for the diesel model.
